Tire and Lube Technician

Position Overview:
The Tire and Lube Technician performs basic automotive maintenance tasks, including tire services, oil changes, and routine inspections, to ensure vehicles are in safe and optimal working condition. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, balancing, and replacements.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify wear and tear, leaks, or other issues requiring attention.
  • Check and top off vehicle fluids (e.g., coolant, brake, windshield washer, and power steering fluids).
  • Inspect and replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all services performed and communicate findings to customers or service advisors.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and tire-changing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the shop area remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic automotive repair and maintenance knowledge; prior experience as a lube technician or similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions precisely.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 
Preferred Skills:
 
  • Certification in automotive maintenance or repair is a plus.
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic tools.
  • Customer service experience.
